Instead of separate production steps, the Continuous Manufacturing process enables continuous processing from powder to the finished tablet. At the two-day event in Fette Compacting’s headquarters in Schwarzenbek, this highly future-oriented development was focused on in a keynote speech, practical workshops on Direct Compression and in a panel discussion with industry experts.

As a world premiere, Fette Compacting presented a new Direct Compression line, in which the dosing and mixing of the powder is arranged in a closed unit for the first time: the FE CPS.

Dr. Markus Krumme, VP Continuous Manufacturing at Novartis, emphazised in his keynote speech: ”There’s no doubt that Continuous Manufacturing will play a dominant role in drug development and production in the future. The only question is when this will be the case.”
